I’m Toranosuke, an artist based in Japan.
My work doesn’t belong to any particular genre.
It can be inspired by old folktales, African culture, music, hip-hop artists, slightly strange dreams, or simply something I happen to notice.
I like to hold on to those little sparks of inspiration and turn whatever comes to mind into art, freely and in my own way.
Sometimes an idea becomes a drawing, an object, or a story.
And sometimes, it turns into something I never expected.
I never quite know what might come out of each new idea.
I enjoy discovering that as I slowly continue to create.

古い民話、アフリカの文化、音楽、ヒップホップアーティスト、ちょっと不思議な夢、あるいは、ふと目にした何気ないもの。
そうしたものから受けた小さなひらめきを大切にしながら、思いついたことを自由に作品にしています。
あるときは絵になったり、オブジェになったり、物語になったり。
ときには、自分でも思っていなかったようなものになることもあります。
そのときどきで、どんな作品が生まれるのか。
自分でも楽しみながら、少しずつ作り続けています。
